An Enchanted Carriage for a Magical Performance
We created this pendant for a local youth theatre's production of Cinderella
Today we are featuring a very special piece that we made to support our local Sacramento youth theatre organization, River City Theatre Company. This is the latest installment in our ongoing series on non-profit partnerships, and it may be our most magical creation yet.
When we heard that RCTC was going to be performing Cinderella at their next event, the creative ideas immediately started flowing. We eventually settled on a simple, hand-fabricated pumpkin carriage necklace. This iconic design would be both the perfect symbol for the production and a great way for patrons to show their support. At the center of the piece is a beautifully carved, orange citrine bead serving as our pumpkin. The citrine is cradled by a hand fabricated carriage piece made from sterling silver. Finally, the entire piece sits on top of two, high quality round brilliant diamond “wheels” bezel set in matching silver settings.
While we employ state-of-the-art technology for many of our custom pieces including laser engraving, metal anodizing, and computer aided design, we took a more traditional approach for this piece. Our expert jewelers used hand fabrication techniques passed down from jeweler to jeweler for generations which makes the finished product just a touch more magical.
